Abstract

Reuters Institute of Journalism commissioned this research fellowship to a brilliant Journalist Jenni Kangasniemi. One of her main interests is to merge gamified elements into digital journalism in order to create immersive, multimodal stories where the reader becomes an active user/experiencer. The main aim of this research is to understand the phenomenon and impact of Immersive journalism and how it is reshaping news industry.
